Nestled on the second floor of a cozy building in Serpong, Tangerang Selatan, Kissaten Nana offers a distinctive coffee shop experience with a captivating Japanese flair. This tranquil haven seamlessly transports you to the calmude ambiance of an authentic Japanese kissaten, blending warm wooden decor, soft lighting, and carefully curated slow jazz and city pop tunes that wrap around you like a comforting embrace.
Stepping inside, you immediately notice the thoughtful design that radiates soothing vibes — a peaceful escape perfectly suited for sipping expertly crafted coffee or unwinding with a good book or manga. The atmosphere is intimate yet inviting, offering a mix of ample seating on the ground floor and a quieter, more secluded nook upstairs, where the skilled baristas prepare espresso-based coffees and manual brews tailored to your palate. Regular visitors rave about how the coffee here strikes the perfect balance: robust yet smooth, never overly sweet but always flavorful. If you seek something different, the green tea is equally noteworthy, delivering a fresh and aromatic experience that enhances the Japanese-inspired atmosphere.
Beyond the exceptional coffee, Kissaten Nana's charm deepens with charming little touches — from the gently spinning turntables playing warm, jazzy melodies to the adorable resident cat, Anya (and Peanut, the bossy feline downstairs), who adds to the homely ambiance, greeting patrons and visitors with a soft purr and quiet companionship. Many visitors have noted that this pet-friendly environment makes the space feel even more welcoming and relaxed.
For those who enjoy a relaxed meal or snack alongside their drinks, the affordable menu features delights like mushroom katsu paired beautifully with the smooth hojicha latte, delivering a harmonious bite that perfectly complements the coffee shop's gentle atmosphere. The availability of manga to read on-site or purchase adds a delightful cultural touch, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in Japanese pop-culture while savoring their drinks — a unique feature not commonly found in typical cafés.
Some visitors mention that the space upstairs is small and can get busy around peak hours, so arriving early or visiting during quieter times like early afternoon guarantees a restful corner for work or study. The overall experience is one of calm, carefully balanced between cozy intimacy and a warm, welcoming vibe that feels less commercial and more like a personal sanctuary.
Kissaten Nana is not just a coffee shop; it is a heartfelt tribute to Japanese aesthetics and hospitality nestled in the bustling heart of BSD. Whether you are seeking a peaceful spot for a deep conversation, a reflective solo retreat with your laptop, or simply a flavorful cup of coffee accompanied by soft music and feline friends, this hidden gem invites you to slow down and savor each moment.

Japanese vibes coffee shop. Coffee. Taste great. I tried their espresso based coffee and their manual brew. Both taste good. My wife tried their green tea, also taste good. Place. My highlight is exactly this. The ambience of this coffee shop is really good. Design with Japanese style, located on the 2nd floor. Good vibes with turntables and slow jazzy songs. A bit quite at that time around 1PM. Super enjoy sipping the coffee with this ambience plus a book to read. Service. I also enjoy the conversation with the barista. Sat on the bar table next to the barista. Barista deliver an excellent service, made a great coffee, yet engaging. Love it. Price. Fair price. I would love to come back again. Access. Big road, easy to get parking.

Kissaten Nana is such a chill spot! Just went there and honestly, I loved it. It's kind of a hidden gem with Japanese vibes—super cozy and peaceful. There are plenty of seats downstairs, but the upstairs area is definitely my favorite. There’s a barista counter, warm lighting, and even a cat just casually hanging around. Total comfort zone. It’s a great place to chat or just relax. The music was nice and not too loud. The food and drinks were good too—prices are pretty standard for a cafe, not cheap but definitely not expensive either. The people there were also really chill. It wasn’t noisy at all, which I really appreciated. You can even sit at the bar if you're into that kind of seating. Honestly, it’s the kind of place you’d want to keep coming back to. Super recommended!

I love the vibes! They have manga here that you can read and I think they have manga to be sold as well... Food are affordable ranging from 20-50k, drinks are good as well ranging from 25-35k as well if i'm not mistaken. Bought mushroom katsu and hojicha latte for snacks and they tasted really great. They play very nice songs, I brought my parents here and they love the atmosphere as well... The wifi speed is okay around 30 mbps. Overall would comeback here for more in the future.

Discovered this hidden Japanese-themed coffee shop in BSD from Instagram reels and decided to give it a try. I was actually very impressed with the decor and design this place has, it’s giving a natural Japanese coffee shop you’d find in Japan. The atmosphere was top-notch, very calming with beautiful wooden decor and soft background music. If you’re a cat lover, make sure to meet and pat Anya, their home cat! Some of the menus that we ordered: 1. Sakura 15 — iced black coffee with a hind of soda and flavoured syrup (i forgot what kind of syrup). 2. Taro Latte — just alright, nothing special. Very sweet, but cup size was perfect. 3. Nameraka Pudding — purin or japanese custard pudding. My favourite menu here. The kind of purin that melts in your mouth and the sweetness is just perfect! 4. Salmon Mayo Onigiri — perfectly-balanced flavour packed in an onigiri (sweet and savoury all in one). Though salmon filling was only a bit. 5. Onion Ring — batter was a bit too thick, the kind of onion ring that will not melt in your mouth. The egg mayo dipping sauce was plain (feel like it needs more more salt & pepper). Overall, the prices here are very reasonable, given the quality and the ambiance they serve. The service was also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing Japanese cafe experience, whether for WFC or just simply a hang-out spot. Will definitely revisit!

The location is easy to find but limited parking area for car. The cafe located on 2nd floor. 1st floor is gozaru restaurant. The space is not large but it's comfy. There are some books that can be read and sold. The drink is not really sweet so you can really adjust your preference. You can bring your cat there but please watch your pet. The toilet is clean. The music is city pop. Okay good.

Loved every bit of Kissaten Nana - they not only provided a calm and quite space to be at, but also great foods and drinks. The right music volume, coziness from the warm lighting, and the free mangas to be read--making the space much more enjoyable to be at. Do not forget to share your love with Anya the cat as well. It's always been a pleasant trip here, definitely my top go-to cafe in BSD :-)
